Back to School Special with Reagan!

Hey cool kids. I hope your summer has been absolutely fabulous, but as it comes to an end, I hope you all look back and remember all the neat or not so neat things you've done! This summer has been quite a big one for me! To me, summer is about putting away your school life and the whole 'trying to fit in' thing, and find yourself again with the help of your friends and family. So I thought since school is right around the corner and the possibility that many readers are middle school and in high school, I could give tips on how to survive school!

I am going into the 9th grade and I know I'm not going to be perfect at helping people get through that, but I can try. I am professionally trained on how to get through middle school though. Lol. Middle school was definitely one of the hardest things I had to go through social wise. It didn't help me any that I was new to the school in the sixth grade and had pretty much fake friends until last year when I became best friends with Zoe. Zoe is really great and I could go on forever about her but unfortunately, I can't. Haha! She is blogging with us so be sure to read her posts! Okay, everyone has their school sob stories and I'm not going to share mine because that is a waste of not only my time, but yours.

So lets just cut to the chase, the survival tips. Haha! A good way to enjoy the school year is to start off organized. I often find myself disorganized and then I just get grumpy. Number 2: If you have friends, congrats, if you don't, GET OUT THERE AND MAKE FRIENDS WITH A RANDOM PERSON THEY WILL END UP BEING YOUR BEST FRIEND AND YOU WILL END UP BEING HAPPY. I know you might be thinking to yourself, "how do you just go make a friend that easily...I'm shy to begin with." If you are thinking that right now here is what I have to say to you, WHO THE FRICK CARES?! I promise you if you say 'hi' to one person and smile, they'll want to be your friend. Stop overthinking things, it isn't good for the soul. I know it seems hard and you're probably telling me it's not that easy for some people, but I promise you if you step out of your comfort zone for a little bit, your school year will be so much better.

But if that's not convincing enough here is a little saying, worrying won't stop from happening, it just stops you from enjoying the good. See, I only have a couple of friends and that works for me because I can focus on my school and still have people to hang out with on the weekends. Also you don't have to have friends in all your classes. It's better to focus on your work anyways, you want to be able to get into a good college and you can't do that if you're in a class goofing around with your friends. Music is a pretty big thing in my life so what I do is I put my headphones in after the teacher is done talking, I do my work, I get it done early, and I get to do other things. You'd be surprised how much that'll raise your grade.

Number 3: set goals for the semester. If you find that you have a really really hard class that you don't think you're going to get good grades in, set a goal to get a certain percentage. Now don't only set the goal, plan it out, and make the goal. If along the way you find that things aren't working out, change the plan, not the goal.

Number 4: DONT CARE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OF YOU, YOU ARE AN AMAZING PERSON AND YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I'm not the type of person that follows the trends at my school. I wear what I want and if they don't like it, I could care less. This school year I'm going for the 80s high school look. I know it sounds crazy but I'm modernizing it to look great! Another thing, if you think you're fat, you need to leave the country because you should never put yourself down like that. If you really feel that self conscious about it, do something about it instead of sitting there hating yourself. Honestly, society is so messed up now. Don't listen to that and if you don't listen to that society will change. Look at pictures of people in the 60s. Were they a bit chubby? Yeah! But was everyone okay with that? Yeah! So why cant we all be okay with it? You shouldn't have to be stick skinny to be socially acceptable. Just do your own thing and stop worrying about other people.

That's all I have for you guys right now! I'll be back soon with more tips! I hope these helped! Thanks for reading!!
